Megaromania - Biography

Megaromania (メガロマニア)

Megaromania is one of the newest UNDER CODE PRODUCTION bands, being formed in March 2008.
The band concept is the 「aesthetics of creation」 (創造の美学), while the music style can be considered kotekote-kei (old-school visual rock) with heavy metal influences. Songwriting duties are shared between guitarist Misery and Chikage, while all lyrics are penned by vocalist Sui.

- Early 2008: Band formation.

- March 2008: The band is announced at the UNDER CODE PRODUCTION official website.

- May 28, 2008: Singles 「美醜の果実」, 「God of Megaromania-純血ノ刻印-」, 「Angelical Jewelry」 release.

- June 1st, 2008: Debut as the opening act of Deshabillz revival concert at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU.

- July 9th, 2008: First mini-album 「Birth of an「Idea」」 release.

- November 19th, 2008: Single 「Transparent Shine」 release, A-side composed by KISAKI.

- November 23rd, 2008: First oneman 「The Birth of Creation-Tenchisouzou-」 at Meguro Rokumeikan, in order to promote the single.

- May 31st, 2009: First anniversary concert 「The reason for the Reincarnation-Tedoukeiji-」 at Shibuya RUIDO K2.

- June 1st, 2009: First anniversary concert 「Illusional of the Birthday」 at Takadanobaba AREA.

- July 15th, 2009: Concept singles 「evil」, 「holy」 and 「deus」release.

- October 2009: Creation of Megaromania's Ameba blog.

- November 8th, 2009: Sponsored event 「Mythlogical of Hallucination -First Day-」 at 心斎橋SOMA.

- November 11th, 2009: First full album 「Prophetic Faction -the universe-」 release.

- November 13th, 2009: Sponsored event 「Mythlogical of Delusion -Second Day-」 at 池袋CYBER.

- November 2009: Announcement of the first Megaromania concert overseas, to be held in Romania on 2009-12-13 at The Silver Church. (Then posponed and finally cancelled)

- January 7-8th, 2010: Megaromania reveals via blog that they are going to lose member(s).

- January 30th, 2010: threeman event 「Dark profound thought」 with ALSDEAD and SaTaN at 新宿 RUIDO K4. Announcement that drummer 憐蛇-Leda- is the member leaving the band.

- March 24, 25 and 31st, 2010: Oneman lives 「Oblivious of Farewell」 at HOLIDAY NAGOYA, HOLIDAY OSAKA and SHIBUYA BOXX.

- March 31st: Start of activity pause.

- April 2010: Announcement of Megaromania's comeback on May 2010. Official home page is down.

- May 15th and 22nd, 2010: 2nd anniversary sponsored event 「美醜の館 -Metempsychosis-」 (Bijuu no Kan -Metempsychosis-), at 目黒鹿鳴館 (Meguro Rock Maykan) and OSAKA MUSE. E'm~grief~'s drummer Majyu starts doing support drums for Megaromania.

- May 17th, 2010: New outfits, five-month sponsored live campaign, instore events and new single are announced.

- July 8th, 2010: New Official Homepage is up - http://www.undercode-megaromania.com/

- July 14th, 2010: Sponsored event 「地下線ボーカリストシャッフル祭!?」 (Chikasen VOCALIST SHUFFLE Matsuri!?) at OSAKA MUSE. Megaromania plays with Nega's 儿 (Jin); and vocalist 翠-Sui- sings for 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN).

- August 4th, 2010: New maxi-single 「AURORA-destinies of world-」 release.
